The Town of Richmond has a contract with Gardiner Ambulance and we have to pay for any ambulance bills that go unpaid. I then send 2 letters to the person to try to collect the money. If I still don't have luck collecting the money then I send the bill to a collection agency, but they are rarely paid even after they go to collection. We recently had one person who had 3 bills and Blue Cross paid them directly for about $2200 and then this person kept the money.

Does anyone have any other suggestions about collecting these bills? Thanks.
