The law was changed late in 2009 making shellfish violations a civil violation instead of the criminal violation which they were. into so the Judicial Branch thinks the civil violations fines revert to the STATE GENERAL FUND not the town who writes the summons under our Ordinance.I have been fighting them for over six months to get our fine money.
