The MMTCTA had joined with the Maine Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA) to provide an exciting training opportunity.  The three topics deal directly with our duties as tax collectors and treasurers and should definitely provide us with useful information. 

The day will include a discussion on Municipal Fraud, Freedom of Access Obligations and Tax increment Financing.

The session will be held June 11, 2010 at the Muddy Rudder Restaurant in Brewer.  Registration will begin at 8:30 and the sessions will end at 12:30.  After which lunch will be provided as part of the $25.00 registration fee.

The MGFOA is looking to expand the attendance of their training sessions and the MMTCTA is exploring new training opportunities.  We are very excited about this joint session.  It is conveniently located and provided for a relatively low cost.  A good turnout by our organization will certainly encourage additional trainings in the future.
