Posted by Gwen May, Swan's Island, March 20, 2007:I have an access program for BMV registrations so I don't have to dig out the old computer to type up a new reg., which I love.  My problem is that my old printer died and the new one will not print on the thin colored carbonless pages well (they slide sideways and just mess up in general).  Our laser printer really dislikes carbonless pages and the ink just wipes off.  Does anyone have any ideas on what type of printer to get?  The old one was an HP and so is the new one but the new one is a printer/scanner/copier in one with a front loading paper tray.  I've always had to hand feed each individual copy into the printer previously which is tedious but worth it. Thanks for any ideas.  I wonder if Trio users have carbonless registrations.  What do you do?

Responses: We here in Eastport have Trio and the reg forms are carbonless but they are continuous feed our printer is dedicated just for the motor vehicle forms. Its an Okidata, Microline 420 and works great. (Helen Archer, Eastport)

Same here in St. Agatha as in Eastport. We were told by BMV that laser is not an option yet with our TRIO program..or any computer software program for that matter. (Ryan Pelletier, St. Agatha)

We have the trio windows system for your BMV registrations- the printer we have found that works the best is the Okidata Microline 320 Turbo. The printer is only used for BMV registrations , I know it's old but it works..We do have an photocopier/printer that has duel purposes.  That's the machine is used for printing tax bills, reports etc..
