Posted by Scott Gesuldi, Rangeley, February 16, 2007:WE HAVE CHANGED FROM PIN FED PAPER TO LASER JET AND WE USED TO FILE THESE END OF DAY REPORTS BY POST BINDERS (WE WOULD LEAVE THE EDGES). HOW ARE OTHER TOWNS FILING THE END OF DAY CASH REPORTS WITHOUT HOLE-PUNCHING NUMBERS OUT OF THE REPORTS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE? ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD HELP
Responses: I 3 hole punch mine and file in a 3 ring binder. Must more organized. It does remove a few of the numbers but nothing that I can't figure out. (Laurie Boucher, Richmond)
We purchase paper that is already 3 hole punched. This saves a lot of time! (Wanda Ouellette, Caribou)
Waterboro files the daily receipts by day and then by month. (Julie Giles, Waterboro)
Try the two hole top punch binders too. (Derik Goodine, Naples)
We format our report printout so that it moves the left margin over an extra quarter inch. That gives you room for holes without losing numbers. (Stu Marckoon, Lamoine)
City of Eastport uses continuous feed paper and files it in a binder by the month makes it easier to find things if you need to go back. We also file our receipts the same way. (Helen Archer, Eastport)
